Boat Demos – Try out a canoe or kayak!
Try out boats of all kinds with Roads Rivers and Trails and TC Surfski!
Join us on Friday, June 21 from Noon to 8 pm and try out canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards on Lake Como. Boats will be provided by Roads Rivers and Trails and TC Surfski out of Suttons Bay, Michigan.
What is a Surfski?
A surfski is also known as an ocean racing kayak. It has an open cockpit sit on top design. The length is 16-21 feet and weight is 22 – 40 lbs depending on materials. They are extremely maneuverable and steer with a pedal controlled rudder. The surfski is generally twice as fast as a normal touring kayak and equally at home on 10 foot swell or flat water lakes and rivers.
